Sunday afternoons should always be like this, spent in Suzaku's warm arms, feeling his equally warm and soft lips against his own.

And yes, Lelouch couldn't help but want more. And it was all Suzaku's fault -

Just because he was so damned good at kissing.

Tugging at Suzaku's hair, Lelouch pulled him closer, needing to feel more of his mouth, more of his tongue, more of him.

He had his back pressed against the bed, and Suzaku was on top of him; they were both still dressed, only their uniform jackets having been taken off, and Lelouch could feel the outline of Suzaku's muscles as he ran his hands down his back. He wrapped his arms around Suzaku's neck, moving underneath him, and moaning into the kiss -

"W-wait," Suzaku said, cheeks flushed, and strands of hair sticking to his forehead. His green eyes were brighter than usual, burning with something Lelouch couldn't quite place, but wanted to see more of. Mostly because he knew that Suzaku didn't look at anyone else like this.

"What is it?" Lelouch ran his hand up Suzaku's arm. "We've made out more heavily before." You don't have to be shy now.

Suzaku sat up, his voice oddly strained. "I know, but - "He sighed, and Lelouch had the odd feeling that he was blushing. Cute.

"Doing this ... does it turn you on?" Lelouch asked, surprised that he didn't feel any warmth rushing up his cheeks. But then, having spent time around the Black Knights … er, Tamaki had made him less touchy on a few subjects. He still couldn't help feeling a bit weird though, and Suzaku's silence only made things worse.

Sighing, he sat up as well, wrapped his arms around Suzaku's shoulders. "It's not a problem. It's normal." He buried his nose in the crook of Suzaku's neck, closing his eyes. So warm.

"I know," Suzaku said, relaxing a bit and touching Lelouch's hand. "I know." He still sounded a bit strained though.

"Then what's the problem?" Lelouch hugged tighter. "We're in this together, so if you're scared … it's no problem. We're both new to this-" He said it soothingly, wanting Suzaku to let go of whatever was so evidently bothering him.

There was a strangled sound coming from Suzaku's mouth. "I'm not new to this."

Lelouch suddenly frowned, pulling away. "What do you mean?" Maybe he was misunderstanding, although he didn't think so. There was little doubt as to what Suzaku had meant. Though a part of him wished that, maybe, he was interpreting too much into things. "What is it? Come on, tell me."

"I've had sex before," Suzaku said, shrugging his shoulders. "I lost my virginity when I was fifteen." He stated it bluntly, meeting Lelouch's eyes directly, and he was waiting - either for a condemnation or reprimand.

The silence that descended upon them was tense; Lelouch removed his hands, deciding to just settle with sitting next to Suzaku for now. He swallowed, grateful that their eyes weren't meeting. The clock on his bedroom wall ticked for a few long minutes, and Lelouch inspected the whiteness of his bed sheets, the view his window offered him … and then let out a long sigh. "Suzaku-" he started, but trailed off. He just didn't know how to address this. He couldn't even look Suzaku in the eyes.

"It wasn't very often, if you're wondering about that," Suzaku said quietly, and looked away.

"No … I'm just surprised." And Lelouch wassurprised that he knew so little about Suzaku. In his mind, Suzaku was oblivious, an exercise nut, and a bit of a cry baby … And someone who seemed innocent, pure -

No, that wasn't quite right. Lelouch couldn't forget that Suzaku was in the army now. It was time he stopped thinking of Suzaku as the boy who had charged in without thinking, but cried when talking about painful pasts.

He fixed his eyes on Suzaku's again.

Suzaku was looking at him, eyes apologetic. "I'm sorry I'm only bringing this up now, but - I just felt you deserved to know." He grabbed hold of Lelouch's hand, squeezing it tightly.

"... I appreciate it," Lelouch said, though a petty part of him wished Suzaku hadn't told him. Because, whenever he touched Suzaku now, he would know that he hadn't been the firstone to do so (and he hated it, he hated it so much -).

"Lelouch -" Suzaku said, his voice cutting through Lelouch's thoughts. "Does it … do you think less of me now?" He was still holding Lelouch's hand; it was trembling a little.

And Lelouch was resolved to make whatever haunted Suzaku disappear.

"Idiot. You're still 'Suzaku' to me, no matter what you did before or didn't do," Lelouch said, and climbed into Suzaku's lap. He didn't give Suzaku time to think, just kissed him firmly. "I … whatever you do, as long as you're at my side, it doesn't matter."

Suzaku smiled - not his broad boyish smile, but one that was tentative, and felt … Lelouch didn't know why, but this smile seemed truer than the ones Suzaku showed when they were around others. "Thank you."

"You don't need to thank me," Lelouch replied as he leaned forward to capture Suzaku's lips in a kiss. "Just -" he broke the kiss, whispering against Suzaku's lips, "be with me." He didn't wait for Suzaku's response, but kissed him again.

He was grateful when Suzaku responded, the pressure of his lips gentle. Tender. He'd wrapped his arms around Lelouch's waist, and Lelouch opened his mouth in response, allowing Suzaku to deepen the kiss. Trusting him.

It wasn't enough though, Lelouch thought. He kissed more insistently.

"Lelouch-" Suzaku said, pulling away. There was that need burning in his eyes again. "We shouldn't. I am not wort-" He stopped when Lelouch silenced him by pressing a finger against his lips.

"Through our clothes … just through our clothes," Lelouch murmured, gripping Suzaku's shoulders nearly painfully. "That's … okay, right?" And he wondered how it was that he, whose experience - prior to being reunited with Suzaku had mostly been limited to kisses on the cheek - was asking saying this. He pressed his forehead against Suzaku's. "I want this, Suzaku." I want you.

Maybe it was the determination in his voice that broke Suzaku's hesitation or the way Lelouch looked at him. Because, in a blink of a few seconds, the uncertainty in those green eyes faded, replaced by something warm and happy (and Suzaku looked like the boy he'd known once: simple, carefree and not reined in by any doubts).

And he was kissing him again, without restraint this time, his tongue moving against Lelouch's own with a gentle firmness that made Lelouch press even more insistently against Suzaku. He really couldn't stop it, couldn't help but run his hands over Suzaku's curly, yet soft hair, then let his fingertips trail down his back, just so he could feel the way Suzaku shivered whenever he did so.

Some strands of Suzaku's hair fell against his cheek as Lelouch tilted his head a bit in order to meet Suzaku's kisses better, and...

He felt it then: a hardness pressing against his inner thigh that would have made him pull away had this been anyone else. But, because thiswas Suzaku, he just rubbed against it…

A shiver ran down his spine, and Lelouch did it again. Just to test things out, just to … make Suzaku kiss him deeper, pull away and look at him with admiration and something that made Lelouch's grip on him tighten (Suzaku was his, his and his alone).

"...God, Lelouch -" Suzaku whispered against his ear, and grinded back. He started pressing soft kisses against Lelouch's neck, earning gasps and barely audible 'ahs'.

Lelouch re-positioned himself on Suzaku's lap, so that he was straddling him more directly now, and when he moved against Suzaku this time, the resulting nghwas drowned out by Suzaku's kiss.

And Lelouch forgot everything else, losing himself in the feel of Suzaku's tongue, lips, and the sensations that ran through his body whenever he moved against Suzaku.

He should have hated this because he couldn't stop. Suzaku made him lose all composure. It should have been embarrassing to move against Suzaku like this: groin against groin, him so urgent, not only doing his best to increase the friction, but kiss Suzaku as desperately and fiercely as he could.

But Suzaku was doing it too, his hands now holding onto Lelouch tightly, and his breath hot against Lelouch's skin as he broke the kiss, only to pant against his neck.

"Ngh - I … wait." Suzaku's voice was raspy, and he was thrusting upwards quicker. His grip was getting tighter. "I … might come soon."

"Doesn't matter." Lelouch shook his head, not wanting to talk now. Just needing to move more, to feel more of that sensation that was pooling inside of his stomach. He pressed a kiss against Suzaku's cheek, chuckling softly. "I'm close too." Suzaku let out a gasp, his hands pulling Lelouch even closer before his grip loosened.

"Wait -" Suzaku pulled away from Lelouch's neck, breathing heavily. "Our clothes … hah-"

"Stop … talking," Lelouch moved forward and kissed Suzaku, telling him to let himself go, to just trust him -

And Suzaku did. There was nothing shy or hesitant about him now when he took over: kissing with so much need that Lelouch's head went dizzy, and he clung to Suzaku.

Suzaku pushed Lelouch down on the bed, the friction more insistent now, growing even more intense when Lelouch wrapped his legs around Suzaku's waist. Lelouch knew he wouldn't last long the moment he did so; he was feeling increasingly more light-headed, the sensation of 'more' and 'good' taking over until he was consumed by it. And then he was just moaning into Suzaku's mouth, holding tightly onto him.

Suzaku didn't last much longer himself, shuddering against Lelouch as he came, letting Lelouch hold him as he did so. Allowing himself to hold onto Lelouch, trusting him –

Because they were friends.

"Stay over the night, Suzaku -" Lelouch said as he watched Suzaku put on some spare and rarely worn gym clothes of his. "I don't see why you have to leave right now." Certainly they could spare Suzaku at the base tonight.

"Can't. I have an important meeting."

Lelouch raised an eyebrow. "...What kind of meeting that requires you to leave right now?"

"I can't tell you," Suzaku said, smiling a bit regretfully as he leaned forward to kiss Lelouch briefly on the lips. "It's not nothing special -"

"You just said it was important," Lelouch said, frowning.

Suzaku titled his head to the side. "Ah, well … important for me, but not important in the grand scheme of things … I guess?"

… Right. For a second, Lelouch had the uncomfortable feeling that Suzaku was lying. But he shrugged it off, thinking that he was just reading too much into things.

"Okay."

The phone rang, and Lelouch sat up, startled. He got up and reached for it before Suzaku could. "Yes?"

"Zero, about our plans for -"

Lelouch froze. He really had to tell Ohgi to not call him all the time. "I am sorry, I can't right now. Let's talk about this later." He hung up. He'd deal with this once Suzaku was gone.

Suzaku looked at him, confused. "Who was that?"

"...Rivalz -" Lelouch fished his brains for a quick, easy excuse, "was asking me to tutor him in Maths." He said it without any special emotion nor did his face betray anything. Lelouch knew that Suzaku would swallow it, and not ask Rivalz for confirmation.

(He didn't pause to consider how easy it was for him to lie to Suzaku.)

Suzaku smiled. "Ah, I see." Then his smile turned to a frown. "Say, Lelouch … don't you think it's bad that you neglect your studies this much?"

Lelouch rolled his eyes. He knew what was coming. "Not you too -"

"But you've been cutting a lot of class lately … and I really think you should stop. Gambling is dangerous -"

Lelouch decided to shut Suzaku up with a kiss.

To which Suzaku responded eagerly, and all bad things were forgotten, and as Lelouch kissed Suzaku, he thought how nice it was that Suzaku was the one person he could always rely on -

Because Suzaku would never betray him, and Lelouch would never hurt him either.

(But this was only the beginning of all their lies and pain they'd inflict on each other.)
